WEEE

In line with WEEE regulations, all electrical and electronic products are now labelled with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol which means they shouldn't be disposed of with your household waste.  To keep us, and the environment happy, we kindly ask that when disposing of any electric or electronic items that you do so correctly.

If you have any small electrical or electronic (EE) products, you can drop them off in one of our recycling units at our stores - that way you can be sure they’ll be recycled responsibly and at no cost to you. We also take light bulbs, fluorescent tubes and batteries in our recycling units. Alternatively, contact your local council to find your nearest WEEE recycling site.

You can drop off used or unwanted light bulbs and fluorescent light bulbs in one of our recycling units in our stores for free.

Yes. You’ll find battery recycling units in all our stores. We accept AA, AAA and any other batteries used in computers, mobile phones and watches.

We'll collect any large electrical or electronic (EE) products from your home if you've bought a like-for-like product from B&Q. Our courier, DHL, will arrange this with you at least 24hrs in advance of your delivery arriving. 

This is a product that is replacing something that has the same function. For example, an oven that is replacing another oven is a like-for-like product. Therefore, we would only be able to collect your existing oven if you'd bought a new oven from B&Q. 

Unfortunately, the collection service is only available for customers who have purchased a like-for-like product from B&Q. Smaller electrical and electronic items can be dropped off at your local B&Q store.

No, the collection service is only to collect large electrical and electronic items, so they must be disconnected/unplugged and emptied prior to collection. If your appliance doesn’t fit the collection criteria, our courier team may refuse collection and you’ll have to call us to rebook and pay for a new collection.

We can only collect electrical lawnmowers.

Yes, we can collect any ovens, including electrical, gas and dual fuel ovens. Please make sure they’re disconnected and clean.

Yes, we can collect multiple products in a single collection, on a one-for-one like-for-like basis.
