What is a close-coupled toilet?

A close-coupled toilet is a type of toilet where the cistern (the tank that holds the water for flushing) is directly attached to the bowl, forming a single unit. In this design, the cistern sits directly on top of the toilet bowl, with no visible pipes or gaps between them. This makes the toilet appear more compact and streamlined compared to other types of toilets where the cistern may be mounted on the wall or connected to the bowl via a pipe. They're an extremely popular choice in many bathrooms due to their simple and space-saving design, which is easy to install and maintain.  

What is a rimless toilet?

A rimless toilet, also known as a rim-free toilet, is a type of toilet design that eliminates the traditional rim around the inner bowl. In a rimless toilet, the flushing mechanism is redesigned so that the water flows directly into the bowl from the sides or from the back, rather than through a rim at the top of the bowl. The benefits include improved hygiene, enhanced flushing performance, and reduced splashback, making them a popular choice in modern homes.
