**B&Q have teamed up with Hertz 24/7 to offer you a convenient hourly van hire service to take your purchases home. In three easy steps you could be driving your van home from any of our participating stores.^ **
In order to drive, you must be over the age of 21 and have held your licence for at least a year. You also need to hold a credit or Visa debit card in your own name. Registration is simple and you can be on the road in minutes!
1. Book your van
If you're new to Hertz 24/7, you can pre-register online, then activate your pack in-store and make a booking.
If you are already a Hertz 24/7 member, or wish to make a repeat booking, simply book online, over the phone, or by using one of the apps. You'll receive a text message and email confirming your reservation.
2. Use the van
Follow the instructions on the display screen to start your journey. If you need to top up with diesel, a fuel card is provided for your convenience.
Using the service is simple. A quick start guide and FAQ's can be found in your membership pack. Alternatively, you can use the display screen to request a call-back from inside the vehicle at any time.
3. Return the van
Park the van in the space you took it from. Leave the keys in the van and the fuel tank at least a quarter full. End your booking using the display screen. There's no need to go back into the store. Please be courteous and leave the van tidy for the next user.
Membership to Hertz 24/7 is free for life, so please hang on to your key fob for future car and van bookings.
Important notice: If you plan to leave your own vehicle parked in our car park, please let a member of the B&Q Customer Services team know and we’ll ensure that you don’t get a parking ticket.
