The machine is completely unplugged or the battery removed, when fitting or removing the blade. The correct specification blade (diameter, bore and speed) has been selected for the intended application and machine. The blades are handled and stored carefully to prevent accidental damage to the teeth.
The work area is free from children, animals or other distractions. The machine selected for the operation is of the correct specification and is regularly serviced.
Always wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment . The maximum rpm of the machine does not exceed the operating speed marked on the product. The direction of rotation of the blade and machine are correctly aligned.
If the body of the blade is cracked it shall be scrapped. Repairing is not permitted. The work area is clean and tidy and complies with any need for barriers, signs, warning notices etc. The operator has been properly trained and understands how to use these products safely.
The teeth are not missing, damaged or excessively worn. If the teeth tip dimensions are below 1mm, then replace the blade (Diagram A). Fastening of Tools and Tool Parts ALWAYS unplug the machine and remove any batteries before attempting to fit a new blade.
Tools and tool bodies shall be clamped in such a way that they do not loosen during operation.
Care shall be taken when mounting tools to ensure that the cutting edges are not in contact with each other or with the clamping elements.
Clamping surfaces shall be cleaned to remove dirt, grease, oil and water.
Fastening Screws and nuts shall be tightened using the appropriate spanners etc. and to the torque value provided by the manufacturer.
Extension of the spanner or tightening using hammer blows shall not be permitted.
