Soldering irons

Soldering irons are used for detailed electrical installation and repair work. In corded models, the metal tip of the iron is heated by an electric current and in turn, heats the metal used to join components together. Gas soldering irons are often preferred for very intricate work and use butane as a fuel source in place of mains electric.
