Jointing & taping knives
Jointing and taping knives are commonly used when plaster boarding or preparing walls for painting. Jointing knives typically have a much wider blade than usual, to spread compounds over any given surface to smooth out the joints between plasterboard sheets as well as defects such as nicks, cracks or holes. Generally, joint knives are smaller while taping knives are larger.
