Westland Top Soil is a specially selected rich clay loam soil with a high humus content retaining nutrients and moisture. It is lime and also chalk free, perfect for adding nutrients and organic structure to enhance beds and borders. For creating new beds and borders or simply improving existing soil in your garden Westland Top Soil is ideal for a high quality finish. Furthermore, it is perfect for general lawn preparation and repairs such as levelling lawns. Therefore making it the ideal accompaniment for your general garden use.
- Creating new beds & borders Spread 3 inches of top soil across the existing soil (native) in you border. Mix through the top 6-8 inches of native soil and level off. Raising existing beds & borders. Apply top soil into the sunken area Fork in with existing soil to desired border level. Improving existing soil. Mix 50:50 with garden soil. Dig in with existing soils to add nutrients.

Not a product issue, a B&Q issue
Not so much the product as the customer service of B&Q itself, but I'm not being given the option to rate that. I went to the store to buy the item, quite far from home because I needed this specific kind for a project, when I got there the display was empty so I asked the man working there if they had any out the back. He scanned the barcode and said no, as I was leaving I saw a full pallet of them out the back. I am not one to argue so I just left, because I didn't want to make the journey back in again I decided to bite the bullet and order online, which was around double the price. My order was then delivered to the wrong County entirely, i had proof that it wasn't sent to the address put in. I was still brushed off for weeks by customer service and didn't get a refund until I sent a more stern email demanding one instead of asking or following up. It took over 3 weeks total, customer services was useless and I am now back to not having the product and will have to travel to get it AGAIN. B&Q as a store is fine, if you are expecting any help or basic customer care, go somewhere else.

Good quality top soil
I bought this 2 weeks ago and used it to refresh soil arround a few garden 🪴 herbs . They seem to be happier now 😊

Good mix. I got it to help water retention in some pots where there was mainly a peat mix.
