A bright bedding plant, Zinna's are cheerful additions to any outdoor space.
- in Sunny areas
- Moist & well drained Aerated soil
- Watering instructions - Keep compost moist during germination period and thereafter. Water well during dry spells.
- Plant in April - May, Flowering period July - September
- Sow the seeds outdoors in well prepared moist soil after risk of frosts has passed, approximately 0.5cm deep and around 30cm apart. Gently firm down the soil. Can be planted indoors March - April, 0.5cm deep in seed trays, keep warm and moist. Plant on when established, acclimatise, and plant out when risk of frost has passed. Seedlings will usually appear after 14-28 days. Thin seedlings if overcrowded to approx 30cm apart.
- Remove any deadheads on the plant to encourage more flowers to bloom. Keep well watered and feed monthly.
