Deliciously flavoured, Rooster is a great crop to grow all year round. It can be used for a variety of recipes, ideal for baking, boiling, steaming and roasting. One of the most satisfying and easy vegetables to grow – perfect for experienced or beginner gardeners.
- Moist, fertile & well drained soil
- Plant in March - May, Harvest period August - October
- Chit your potatoes before you plant. Chitting allows the seed potato to produce little sprouts before they're planted in the ground. This gives them a great head start. The easiest way to chit seed potatoes is by placing them in a egg carton, positioned in a cool frost free location. Once the little shoots are about 3cm long, they're ready for planting.
