Delphiums are tall structural flowering perennials bearing beautiful stems.
- Best for middle of borders. in Sunny areas
- Moist & well drained Aerated soil
- Watering instructions - Keep compost moist during germination period and thereafter. Water well during dry spells.
- Plant in February - May, Flowering period June - September
- Sow indoors in seed trays 0.5cm deep using sowing compost. Place on a warm windowsill or in a greenhouse. Keep moist. Transfer seedlings to 7.5cm pots. Seedlings will usually appear after 21-42 days. Acclimatise to outdoor conditions and plant out 60cm apart in a sunny position after risk of frost is over.
- Remove any deadheads on the plant to encourage more flowers to bloom.
