Poppies are a great choice to fill gaps in borders, or to plant in grass to create a natural colourful display. Ladybird gets it's name from its bold ladybird like colouring.
- Best for borders or grass for a natural look. in Sunny areas
- Moist & well drained Aerated soil
- Watering instructions - Keep compost moist during germination period and thereafter. Water well during dry spells.
- Plant in April - May, August-October, Flowering period June - September
- Sow thinly outdoors in a sunny spot in well drained soil which has been raked over and already watered. Cover lightly with fine soil. Keep moist. Seeds sown in the Autumn will flower the following year. Seedlings will usually appear after 14-28 days. Thin seedlings to 15cm apart. Water well until plants are established.
- Remove any deadheads on the plant to encourage more flowers to bloom.
