Cosmos are very attractive to pollinators. They are easy to grow and also make great cut flowers to enjoy indoors. This is a semi flowered and double flowered bright mix.
- Best for middle of borders. in Sunny areas
- Moist & well drained Aerated soil
- Watering instructions - Keep compost moist during germination period and thereafter. Water well during dry spells.
- Plant in February - May, Flowering period July - October
- Sow indoors in seed trays 0.5cm deep using sowing compost. Place in a clear plastic bag or propagator on a warm windowsill or in a greenhouse. Keep moist. Transfer seedlings to trays 5cm apart. Seedlings will usually appear after 5-10 days. Acclimatise to outdoor conditions and plant out 30cm apart in a sunny position after risk of frost is over.
- Remove any deadheads on the plant to encourage more flowers to bloom.
