Petunia are a much loved summer bedding plant perfect for containers, baskets and borders because of their long flowering window and bright flowers.
- Best for containers,baskets or fronts of borders. in Sunny areas
- Moist & well drained Aerated soil
- Watering instructions - Keep compost moist during germination period and thereafter. Water well during dry spells.
- Plant in February - April, Flowering period June - September
- Thinly scatter seeds on the surface of sowing compost in seed trays. Place on a warm windowsill or in a propagator. Keep moist. Transfer seedlings to seed trays 5cm apart. Seedlings will usually appear after 14-21 days. Acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 2 weeks, then plant out 25cm apart in well drained soil in a sunny spot after risk of frost is over
- Remove any deadheads on the plant to encourage more flowers to bloom.
