Tap & die sets

Tap & die sets are used to cut the internal and external threads onto pieces of metal, which enables them to be screwed together. Typically used by mechanics and metalworkers, the thread tap part to the set is used to create the internal thread whilst the die part is used to create a thread on the outer surface of a cylindrical rod. Dies on the other hand, are great for extending the thread on bolts.
