Spikes of richly coloured flowers in late summer. Plant in bold drifts for maximum impact in sunny sheltered spots.
- Soil moisture: Moist & well drained, Soil pH: Any
- Flowering period: July - September, Planting period: March - May
- Plant in a sunny/shady spot. Dig soil improver and bonemeal into the planting hole before planting. In heavy clay soils add horticultural grit to the bottom of the planting hole. Do not attempt to plant these bulbs if the ground is frozen or during freezing conditions Remove faded flowers to prolong flowering. Top dress with a general purpose plant food as the last flowers fade. Allow foliage to die down naturally.
