Loft storage stilts allow for storage platforms to be built above insulation, whilst preventing the insulation below them from being compressed and ensuring that the cavity remains at the recommended minimum depth of 270mm to maximise energy and cost savings.

• Prior to installation ensure your structure can support the additional loads stored on loft storage stilts. Loading limit of existing ceiling structure should be confirmed by a structural engineer. To avoid overheating always ensure that exposed electrical cables are not covered by insulation. Keep insulation clear of exposed light fittings. 1) Position loft legs at widths to suit the panels you will be using to board your loft and screw through the base plate into the joists to secure. 2) Lay out your insulation to the desired depth. 3) Lay your boarding panels on top of the platform and screw into position to secure.
