Removing Air Lock in Plumbing System |
Air trapped in the Plumbing system can cause a tap to splutter or fail completely.
The airlock can be remove by forcing the air out of the system using mains water pressure.
1 Attach a length of hosepipe between the affected tap and the cold mains water tap at the kitchen sink. 2 Leave both taps open for a short while and try the air locked tap again. 3 If necessary, repeat the procedure until water runs freely.
If you have to use a long hose, it will contain a lot of water so drain it into the kitchen sink befor you move it.
If you still can not remove the airlock you will have to call the services of a professional plumber.
