Verve Garden Mulch is nature’s way of giving your garden a helping hand. This rich mulch is ideal for general use around plants to help retain moisture and keep weeds at bay. It locks in the protective blanket, shielding roots from harsh winds and extreme temperatures, and creating the ideal conditions for strong, healthy growth. As it gradually breaks down, it nourishes the soil, enhancing its structure and boosting fertility over time.

• Remove weeds and grass before mulching. Water the soil lightly if it’s very dry. Spread mulch 5–10 cm (2–4 inches) deep for most garden beds. Use only 2–5 cm (1–2 inches) around delicate seedlings. Too much mulch can suffocate roots and cause rot. Keep away from stems and trunks. Leave a 5–10 cm (2–4 in) gap around plant stems or tree trunks. Mulch piled against stems can cause rot, pests, or fungal disease. Replenish annually. Organic mulches decompose. Top up each year to maintain depth and effectiveness. Special notes for fresh wood chips / bark. Fresh, high-carbon mulches can temporarily tie up nitrogen as they decompose. Best practice: use them around established trees/shrubs, not young veggies. For vegetable beds, use composted mulch or add a light sprinkle of organic nitrogen fertilizer underneath first. Wear gloves and wash hands after handling. Avoid inhaling dust from very dry mulch — lightly moisten it before spreading if dusty.
