Can limescale deposits inside a boiler be removed chemically ?
Yes, with the use of a suitable descaler such deposits can usually be removed most effectively. On occasions it has been found that where there is a very high level of scaling in a boiler heat exchanger, one application of a chemical treatment is not always 100% effective, therefore subsequent applications may be necessary.
However, in cases where the heat exchanger is severely blocked by deposits, chemical treatment may not always achieve the desired results and the only viable option would be to replace the heat exchanger / boiler. For further general information please select Water Treatment
