| Painting over Wallpaper |
The most usual papers to paint over are woodchip, lining, anaglypta and blown vinyl's.
Woodchip type wallpaper is usually a plain paper with small bits of wood throughout its surface and is available in various weights and degrees of coarseness.
Woodchip is perfect for hiding bad wall surfaces and ceilings and where hard wearing wallpaper is required.
It is usually painted with either emulsion or latex; always apply at least two coats.
Anaglypta is suitable for finishing with gloss or eggshell; always apply a acrylic water-based undercoat.
