The Use of Grounds

If you require fixing grounds to the wall surface before plastering there are two types used. You can purchase metal screed bead to use instead of wooden grounds.

These are designed to be left in the plaster, as the base coat is allowed to dry out. Alternatively using timber grounds means you have to removed same and later fill in the grooves left by the timber grounds.
