| Turning Off Mains Water |
It's essential you know where to turn off the mains water supply in case of an emergency.
Check for stop-valves:
1. Under the kitchen sink
2. In a utility room
3. Under the stairs
4. Just outside the boundary of your property.
5. In the front garden near the path and about a metre (39") down.
This stopcock can be used to turn off the water in an emergency.
Look for hinged metal cover. You will require to use a water 'key' to reach and close this stopcock.
