| Unblock Sink |
Sometimes you might find that your sink is emptying out rather slow. This can be as a result of a build up of grease or perhaps hair attaching itself to the grid of the plughole.
You might even find that sometimes, due to a large build up,the sink refuses to drain.
In the first case try caustic soda, ensuring to read the instructions carefully before hand and remove any hair with a hook of wire.
If the sink won't drain, try the following: 1. Firstly acquire a plunger and place it directly over the plughole.
2. Then get a damp cloth and hold it firmly over the overflow, this will prevent air escaping and wasting all your hard effort plunging!!
3. Begin to pump the plunger up and down. This procedure may take a few minutes, but keep trying.
4. If plunging doesn't work, you will need to open the trap under the sink. Ensure you place a bucket underneath first!!
5. If the blockage cannot be found in the trap, use a rod to probe the waste pipe and clear the obstruction.
