Question: Wall VentsWe recently moved into a large 4 bed detached house. The house is newly built. We cannot seem to keep the house warm, despite gas central heating. There are 13 air vents in the house that are very large in size and also very drafty. They do not have covers/shutters. Is it possible to buy these covers, if so, how much? Any other solutions? |

In your case where you are blocking up so old vents and fitting new vents. When you are buying the new vents look for the type that may have a blast cowl fitted this will help to deflect bad weather from outside. Be sure you comply with current building regulation when carrying out this work.
The bathroom vent is a problem either you have confirm same is connected to ducting by what ever means required. If this is not an option replace the complete unit.
