Question: Roof Windows
I am putting an extension on to my house. It will house my kitchen and it will have a high ceiling i.e. no attic. I am going to put some skylight windows in for extra light, these windows do not have to open as they are for light only. Are there any guidelines as to what size window suits a particular size room? In addition could you tell me if I would have to use velux windows or are there other types?

Answer

The installation of roof windows can be installed in to both new and existing roofs. The roof tiles will have to be removed and other alterations may be required while fitting the roof window.

Most roof widows are designed to open as this will allow for more ventilation in the summer. Today on the market there is a full range that will suit every application.
It's just a matter of choosing the right product for your particular project.
