Question: PlasterboardsIs it possible for me to decorate directly onto plasterboard? |
Answer
It's very important before plasterboard can be decorated, that all the surface area be sealed. This process can be carried out by applying a coat of general purpose primer. The general purpose primer can be applied to the plasterboard by using a paint brush or roller. Two coats of primer will provide an even better surface and probably a more durable finish. The primer will guard against any absorption of the plasterboard and joint filler. The application of the primer will provide a robust surface for decorating. The primer will also protect the plasterboard against the use of a steam wallpaper stripper in the future.
