Question: Planning PermissionI have a massive balcony on my apartment (700sq ft) approximately. Would you know if I can build on this? I was hoping to attach a conservatory just big enough to house a dining table and chairs. Have you any ideas were to start? |
Answer
The first thing to check before you start any work, is whether or not you need to apply for planning permission.
If you build something which requires planning permission without getting permission first, you may be forced to remove same. Which could prove troublesome and very costly. If you are in any doubt, always make contact with your local planning department of council.
Alternatively you would need to employ the professional services of a builder, architect or chartered surveyor.
