Question: Damp Problem
Last winter, at the interior wall of my corner bedroom I notice a few damp spots as if water was soaking through the wall from the outside.

I just checked that outside corner of my property and discovered that a neighbour's overhanging tree had clogged the guttering with debris and leaves causing the gutters to over flow sending water cascading down my wall.

Will the wall it dry on its own? If so, what would you advise I do?I

Answer

The first thing to do is your asked neighbour to trim there tree. Be proactive next year be sure to trim the overhanging branches yourself.

A 34 dampness

Once you have stopped the water running down the outside exterior wall the problem will solve its self. If you have a radiator in this room leave it turned on this will help to speed up the drying out process.
